Karen M. Beluso, Pianist

Citizen Artist

Thank you for visiting my website.

Biography

Karen Beluso made her orchestra debut at age twelve with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major.  This led to an appearance with the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra that was followed by a Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Youth Symphony, in a performance of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 while still a teenager.

After her Carnegie debut, she began receiving invitation to perform from almost every corner of the globe: Costa Rica, the Philippines, Switzerland, Taiwan, California, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, D.C - all of which led to even more accolades from critics and audiences alike.

Earning undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Juilliard School, Dr. Beluso expanded her career to include work in both Music Education and Arts Administration.  Over a span of several years, she became Department Head of Performing Arts at Portledge School in Locust Valley, NY, a faculty member at the C.W. Post Summer Chamber Music Festival, and Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Long Island Philharmonic.

Currently, Karen Beluso has chosen to expand her talents in the corporate sector as Institutional Sales Manager for Steinway & Sons.  Additionally, she is a board member of Premieres NYC and artistic advisory board member of the FilAm Music Foundation.
